You are interviewing a new client. The client wants to hire your office to help negotiate the purchase of a small business. The

seller has proposed $20,000. The new client would be willing to pay this amount, although she thinks it is a bit high, but she does not feel comfortable negotiating with the seller and would rather have an attorney involved in the deal for her protection. However, she is suspicious of paralegals and attorneys and is especially concerned about how much it will cost to get the representation she needs. You inform the client that the attorney will be the one who actually talks to her about the fee issue, but that typically this type of case is taken on an hourly basis and that the attorney will be able to give her only a very broad estimate of what the total matter will cost. The client states that this would be unacceptable to her because she "does not have a lot of money to pay overpriced attorneys." The client also states that she would like this matter settled as soon as possible. You must prepare a memorandum to the attorney outlining the issue and possible solutions. What type of fee arrangement would you suggest to the attorney? Please keep in mind the client’s anxieties and her particular needs

Memo

To,

Attorney

Respected Sir,

I hope that you are fine. I have been approached by a client who wants to purchase a small business and she wants to seek support of an attorney as well for the legal protection of her business deal. However she is a bit reluctant to hire more people as she has a very limited budget and might not pay you beyond her budget. She also wants to settle the deal as soon as possible.

I have seen her case and there is margin in overall deal price. She is paying to the seller a bit more than market situation, so here is a solution that I propose.

Mr Attorney; you get in with her on the deal to provide your services and in return whatever discount we can bargain from the deal, would be shared with you also as your fees. Since the client is willing to pay early, so once the deal is done you can get your fee also.

Hope to hear from you soon on this.

Regards,

XYZ enterprise

Terryville Corporation plans to sell 48,000 units of its single product in March. The company has 3,500 units in its March 1 fin
murzikaleks [220]

Answer:

Terryville plans to produce 47,600 units in March.

Explanation:

First of all, let us lay out the information given clearly:

Projected sales = 48,000 units

Inventory (March 1) = 3,500 units

Inventory (march 31) = 3,100 units.

From the above information, the total units to be produced can be calculated by adding the total projected sales to the ending inventory as follows:

Total projected units to be produced = projected sales + ending inventory

= 48,000 + 3,100 = 51,100 units

However, we are told that the inventory at the beginning of the month of March is  3,500, therefore of the total amounts to be produced, 3,500 units is already available, hence to get the new amount to be produced we will subtract the beginning inventory from the total units planned to be produced.

Total units to be produced = 51,100 - 3,500 = 47,600 units.

ELEN [110]

Answer:

The solution to prevent employees getting late at work could be a regressive strategy like warning employees about the duration after which they cannot be at break and telling them that there would be a pay cut from their monthly salary if they exceed the time like $0.1/minute.

In order to increase the productivity of the company, there are many strategies that can be opted at different levels of organization

Like at manufacturing level: 1) installing more efficient Plant and machinery

2) Hiring more skilled labours

and at managerial level: 1) Improved planning 2) hiring competent and trained staff

denpristay [2]

Answer: True

Explanation:

An exculpatory clause is a form of contract provision which relieves one party of liability when damages are caused while executing the contract. The party which ssues the exculpatory clause is the one that is seeking to be relieved of any potential liability incurred.

There has already been a notice that "the garage is not responsible for any item stolen from the car". Roger parking his car at the garage is at his own risk as the garage owners won't be responsible.
