Building relationships during your career exploration is called networking. Networking consists of creating relationships that focus on business needs rather than personal needs. These would include people who would be beneficial to your job or a future job. Networking is a give-and-take relationship by nature, since both parties would agree to be connected only if they could benefit from one another.
