In both falls, the fall of Adam and eve and the fall of Satan, the pride of becoming like God and ultimately leading to their banishment from the heaven is connected.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem written John Milton first published in 1667.

The tale is inspired from the Bible from chapter 1-3 of the book of Genesis(the first book of the Bible). In these chapters we find story of God creating the Earth and first humans, Adam and Eve, and their fall. Milton had with the power of his imagination had elaborated this story. Satan, in this epic tale deceives Eve by making her eat the forbidden fruit of the garden, which leads to the fall of Adam and Eve.

In excerpt from "President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address," what does President Obama argue?
Vlad [161]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not attach the excerpt from Barack Obama. Without the excerpt, we do not what you are talking about.

However, trying to help you, we did some research and can comment on the following.

The correct answer is "It is the duty of Congress to set aside differences to help America progress."

In the excerpt from "President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address," what does President Obama argue?

Answer:

"It is the duty of Congress to set aside differences to help America progress."

Former President Barack Obama argued that during his state of the Union Address because he wanted to put an end to the differences the legislative branch had with the executive branch, in order to progress with the legislations that were stuck in Congress, and Obama considered were necessary to help the country.

It is common that the President and Congress have political differences. More, when Congress is controlled by a different political party. In this case, Republicans controlled the majority in Congress. So, sometimes Congress rejects a bill from the executive, and other times the President exerts his veto power over legislation created in Congress.

Which sentence in this excerpt from mark twain‘s “the 1,000,000 bank note” is an example of satire
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

An example of satire here is: "Those two old brothers had been having a pretty hot argument a couple of days before, and had ended by agreeing to decide it by a bet, which is the English way of settling everything"

Explanation:

When we talk about a satire, we need to know that is a technique that authors used to express humor, exaggeration, irony or to expose or ridicule people's behavior or vices. Here we have some irony in the sentence especially in this part: "<em>which is the English way of settling everything</em>" Here he is making fun of the way that English people resolve their problems. He is trying to say that problems are serious and to resolve them you need more than just a bet.
