What is responsible for periods of daylight and periods of darkness? The Sun moves from the East and sets in the West. The Sun r

ises in the West and sets in the East. The Earth rotates on its axis, creating daytime for the side exposed to the Sun and nighttime for the side away from the Sun. The Earth rotates on its axis but only because of the strong gravitational pull of the Sun that causes the Earth to spin at a certain rate.

The Earth rotates on its axis, creating daytime for the side exposed to the Sun and nighttime for the side away from the Sun.

Explanation:

However, the earth’s axis is not at a 90-degree angle with respect to its orbit. The axis is tilted at about 23.5 degrees. This tilt is responsible for the fact that days and nights are not the same along the different latitudes at different seasons.

The north pole may be orientated towards the sun in some season and away from the sun in some seasons. This applies to the South poles. When oriented towards the sun, the polar regions tend to have longer daylights than nights. When oriented away from the sun, these regions experience longer nights than daylights. Nonetheless, all days across the earth are 24hours long.

<br>If you are in an earthquake situation which of the following should you do?
Aliun [14]

During the event of a earthquake, it's best to go outside and far away from buildings, street lights, tree's, etc. It's best to stay in a open feiild, away from anything that could potentialy fall and become deadly.

Here are the list of thing's you should do:

1) Get into a open space. Being an open space, away from tall oj=bgects can save your life. So, get in the middle of the street or in a open medow.

2) Advoid ojects such as: Tree's, power lines, buildings/houses, street lights, and many more.

Doing these can save someone's life. Being inside during an earthquake can be risky, and shouldn't be a risk you take. During earthquakes, building's are known to crumble which can be very deadly and cause serious injuries.

I hope this helps!

26. Which of the following rocks has high intergranular space to contain fluid but this fluid cannot be shifted because of the h
lesya [120]

Answer:

Option (1)

Explanation:

Clay is the most porous but least permeable rock.

The porosity is defined as the property of the rock that allows the water to store in its pore spaces. In simple words, it is the measure of the pore spaces that are present in the rock. Whereas the permeability is the property that allows the fluid to pass through the cracks of the rocks and mixing up with the groundwater.

So, in the case of clay, the inter-granular spaces (pore spaces) between the rocks help in trapping the water in them, but they do not allow the water to transmit and get mix up with the groundwater. So, they are the best example of porous rocks.

Hence, the correct answer is option (1).

How does the amount of silica in magma affect the viscosity of magma?
never [62]

Higher silica content means higher viscosity. But lower temperatures and low gas content mean higher viscosity. Hence, lower viscosity and low gas content mean higher temperature of magma.
