Lucifer and Adam utterly fell from grace and the positions of honor that they were despite the uniqueness that surrounded their existences. This is as a result of their acts of unfaithfulness and insubordination unto God.
In both excerpts, the author describes Lucifer and Adam as specially and uniquely made. Concerning Lucifer, he said, " ...O Lucifer, brightest of angels all". He describes Adam as "...made by God's own finger, And not begotten of man's unclean seed", "...and had power at need Over all Paradise".
The author goes further to explain how great the punishments of their disobedience unto God were. Lucifer fell into hell and became Satan.
