In order to understand why you should not cheat we must first learn what cheating is. The definition of cheating is that it can be any act of dishonesty in order to gain an advantage of something like a game. You can also cheat on someone if you are in a relationship with someone.
Now onto why you should not cheat on anything. Each time you hand in your work, you are telling your teacher that you did the work by yourself. That is either true or false, but it is only false if you cheated. Cheating is also technically stealing because you are taking someone's work and saying you did it.
Cheating is also unfair to other people. For example have you ever played a game only to have someone play against the rules and beat you in the game. Cheating is also frustrating especially if you are playing by the rules. Also when you cheat in school to get good grades, it is unfair for the people who actually studied and did the work.
Cheating may destroy people's trust for you. It only takes one time for you to get caught cheating to ruin someone's trust for you. Even if you never do it again. They will always have a hard time trusting you. Of course that always isn't the case. You might gain their trust again but they might not trust you as much.
Cheating will eventually lead to problems and failure. By skipping the hard work you were supposed to do. You might never learn persistence, dedication, discipline, or risks. Success takes hard work, and cheating is just an easy way to skip the hard work. But the downside of cheating is that you will find it difficult to complete your goals or work without cheating.
Schools, teachers, and parents don't want cheating and should strongly discourage cheating to students. If we have any hope to stop students from cheating. I have seen before that America is behind other countries when it comes to academics. If people keep treating students like they do now we will have an entire generation full of people who cheat.
What I think teachers and parents should do is to emphasize the importance of integrity.
i did one of these before this is what I wrote you can choose what paragraph you want.
