Consider this speech plan. A 2-column table with 5 rows. Column 1 is labeled Topic with entries Hook, Evidence, Evidence, Eviden

ce, Conclusion. Column 2 is labeled Plant a Tree This Arbor Day with entries A scene with flowering trees, Affordability of young trees, Problems with suburban development, Importance of reforestation, Blank. What is the most effective conclusion for this speech? Imagine a May afternoon in which birds are building nests in high branches and children are playing in the shade below a sturdy maple tree. A potted maple at the local garden center is available for under fifty dollars, and online resources abound explaining the planting process. By purchasing and planting a young tree, families can repair the damage done by developers and beautify their own yard for a reasonable price. Reforestation helps offset the damage of air pollution, and it restores the natural habitats of displaced animals.

Answer:

The most effective conclusion for this speech is:

By purchasing and planting a young tree, families can repair the damage done by developers and beautify their own yard for a reasonable price.

Explanation:

The Topic's title encourages everyone to plant a tree this Arbor Day.  The hook to catch people's attention is a scene with flowering trees.  The evidences concentrate on affordability of young trees (prices), problems with suburban development, and the importance of reforestation.

So, the most effective conclusion for the speech would not be the following:

a) Imagine a May afternoon in which birds are building nests in high branches and children are playing in the shade below a sturdy maple tree.

b) A potted maple at the local garden center is available for under fifty dollars, and online resources abound explaining the planting process.

c) Reforestation helps offset the damage of air pollution, and it restores the natural habitats of displaced animals.

These three do not closely match the topic, the hook, and the evidences in the speech.

Write a paragraph on “My New Neighbour”
vovangra [49]

Answer: We all live in a society and we all have neighbors. But how many of us have really good and loyal neighbors? Some of us don’t even know who stays next door! That is how things have changed in the modern world.

Yet others on the other hand have great neighbors, who live more, like a family and enjoy each other’s company.

I live in an apartment and I have a lovely and nice neighbor. They came to this apartment after we had been here for more than a year. At first since my parents and they were also working, we did not have much time to speak to each other.

Gradually, we started mingling and talking and I had a company in that house, a boy of my age. So we became friends quickly and that led to the fast growth of our families’ relationship too. We invite them for birthdays and special occasions and they also invite us when they have something special at their home. apart from the celebration, they are also very helpful people. Once my sister fell, it was the uncle of that house who took her to the hospital as my parents had just gone out for something very urgent and similarly my parents have also helped them when they required help. Now most of the evenings, either we go there to play or my friend comes over to play and our moms discuss and talk so many matters while we play. For any emergency, we could rely on each other and we have no problems over it.

I am glad that we happened to have such a good neighbor, who is very helpful and caring and we also like them very much. They take good care of us and we also return the same. We discuss many matters, sometimes go on outings together, yet we have a boundary and know how to maintain it. This is what makes both our family united and happy and almost be like one family.

I love them very much and I wish we do not have to separate for any reason. Good neighbors are hard to find and we are lucky to have one

How do you write an ode poem
irina1246 [14]

Answer: Unlike many other poems, there are not any specific rules relating to rhyme scheme, meter, etc. -An ode is a poem about only one specific thing such as an idea, object or person. -Ode poems use the same structure/pattern throughout. -Most odes have three stanzas composed of ten lines.

Explanation:

Ode poems are usually rhyming poems with an irregular meter, although rhyme is not required for a poem to be classified as an ode. They are broken into stanzas (the "paragraphs" of poetry) with 10 lines each, typically consisting of three to five stanzas in total.

Pick an ordinary place or thing.

 1.  Give your subject praise or thanks. (Oh, _____________!)

 2. Speak directly to the object.

 3.  Use adjectives to describe it.

 4.  Use verbs to bring that object to life. (Personification)

 5.  Use repeated lines.
