The correct answer is D, 'the author's point of view'. Because depending on the time when an author was writing, he had different points of view. He had one in the classicism, and a completely different one in the modernism. So, the context and the era can tell us a lot of important information about the author's opinions and how he writes the novel/poem, etc.
