Answer:

Liberia and Ethiopia

Explanation:

Europe dominated the entire world in several centuries since they began to travel to other continents. The dispute between the different empires (English, Portuguese, French ...) unleashed the 'discovery' of new worlds in the midst of an imperialist wave. The world was a board on which these powers competed to dominate territories, so much so that history also knows that period as that of the 'African distribution'.

In this matter, we usually remember the African continent for having been taken and explored by Europeans in the Imperialism of the 19th century. But it really was not like that, because Africa was not totally dominated and two countries escaped colonization: Ethiopia and Liberia.

Why did the united states get involved in the Korean war?
icang [17]
When Japan fell during the Second World War, Korea was suddenly free, and hoped to finally be able to decide the fate of their own country. Most Koreans campaigned for a unified state.

However, the United States and the Soviet Union had different ideas. The Soviets wanted to expand the sphere of communist influence into Korea. The United States countered by encouraging the establishment of democracy. Additionally, the United States stressed the importance of containment, which is a foreign policy used to prevent the spread of communism.

This disagreement would eventually lead to the Korean War. The Korean War was the first battle of the Cold War, and first major proxy war fought between the United States and a Soviet communist supported enemy. A proxy war occurs when one or more opposing powers instigates a war and then uses third parties to fight on their behalf.

How does Chester A. Arthur's decisions influence us today?
enot [183]

Historians view the Chester Arthur presidency as an important surprise, one that no one would have expected. Put simply, he performed well in office, defying his state-based reputation as a slick machine politician. Despite his poor health, he attempted to govern competently, and he succeeded to a degree that was never acknowledged by his fellow politicians, the press, or the great mass of Americans.

Although Arthur preferred efficient partisan government service to one selected by competitive examinations, he nevertheless showed tremendous flexibility and a willingness to embrace reform. By struggling with the tariff issue (especially being willing to question the protectionist doctrines of the Republican Party) and supporting the modernization of the American Navy, Arthur stands as an important transitional figure in the reunification of the nation after the bitter turmoil of the Civil War and Reconstruction. No party hack, Arthur demonstrated how the office of President could bring out the very best in its occupants.

Which scenario best represents free enterprise ideals in action?
never [62]

Answer:

In a perfect free enterprise system, there would be no government involvement in the economy. This means the government would have no say in where people buy goods/resources, they would not tell business how much product to make, and they would not tell businesses how much to charge for services
