When it comes to this assignment, what you need to do is place each of these verbs in the correct form, which in this case is the Spanish preterite. For regular verbs, you just delete the infinitive part -ar, -ir, -er and add the suffix é. Unfortunately, when it comes to irregular verbs, you have to memorize them by heart. So, this is how this should be done:

1. conseguí - the verb consequir is irregular, which means you have to learn it; however, most of these irregular verbs end in í, which can help you in the long run (it means to borrow)

2. pidió - the verb pedir is also irregular, and third person singular (he, she, it) always ends in ó in the preterite form (it means to ask for)

3. sirvió - the verb servir is irregular, and it is conjugated similarly to pedir (it means to serve)

4. murió - the verb morir is irregular, and as you can see here, it also ends with ó in the third person singular (it means to die)

5. dormí - for the verb dormir (=sleep), you just add -í at the end to create the right form for first person singular

6. se visitó - it means visited and this verb is reflexive in Spanish (the pronoun se is used)

7. seguí - the verb seguir means to follow

8. repitió - means to do something again, in this case - to ask again

9. prefirió - means to prefer

10. me sentí - means to say goodbye

In this exercise, we need to fill in the blanks the correct form of some verbs. In this case, this is given in the preterite form. In Spanish, the preterite tense (el pretérito) is used to describe actions completed at a point in the past. It is used to talk about beginnings and ends, things that occurred on specific dates or days, at specific times or during specific time periods, and events in a sequence.

(1) conseguí - is the correct conjugation of the verb conseguir for the first-person singular. In this context, this means to borrow. Le before the conjugated verb is the indirect object pronoun for the third-person singular. An indirect object pronoun tells us to whom or for whom something is done.

(2) pidió - is the correct conjugation of the verb pedir for the third-person singular. In this context, this means to ask for. Los before the conjugated verb is the direct object pronoun for the third-person plural. A direct object pronoun replaces a direct object, that is a noun that directly receives the action of a verb in a sentence.

(3) sirvió - is the correct conjugation of the verb servir for the third-person singular. In this context, this means to serve. So me before the conjugated verb is the indirect object pronoun for the first-person singular.

(4) murió - is the correct conjugation of the verb murió for the third-person singular. In this context, this means to wither.

(5) dormí - is the correct conjugation of the verb dormir for the first-person singular. In this context, this means to sleep.

(6) se vistió - In this case, we use a reflexive verb. Reflexive verb is a verb that is accompanied by a reflexive pronoun, that is a pronoun in which a verb points out that a person carries out an action to or for himself/herself. So, Se is the reflexive pronoun for the third-person singular. Vistió is a conjugation of the verb vestir. In this context, this means get dressed.

(7) seguí - is the correct conjugation of the verb seguí for the first-person singular. In this context, this means to follow.

(8) repitió - is the correct conjugation of the verb repetir for the third-person singular. In this context, this means to repeat (doing something again).

(9) decidió - is the correct conjugation of the verb decidir for the third-person singular. In this context, this means to make a decision

.

(10) me despedí - This is also given in Reflexive form. So, me is the reflexive pronoun for the first-person singular. Despedí is a conjugation of the verb despedir. In this context, this means to say goodbye.
