here's why: Patricia did not only stop doing her notes but sang and move to the beat, becoming engaged to the music instead of studying. If she was just listening, she wouldn't be doing any of this stuff.

I think it's engaged because not only did she listen to the music but she began to act on it by tapping and stopped reading her notes after she started the tapping
