D. Laptop computer is the present-day device that has a transistor because
Automobiles and the atomic bomb definitely do not have transistors.
The light bulb has a resistor, not a transistor, although they rhyme perfectly.
A transistor can be defined as, from a Google search, "<span>a semiconductor device with three connections, capable of amplification in addition to rectification."</span>

The correct option is D

The transistor is a semiconductor electronic device used to deliver an output signal in response to an input signal. It fulfills functions of amplifier, oscillator, switch or rectifier. Currently it is found in virtually all electronic devices for daily use such as radios, televisions, audio and video players, quartz watches, computers, fluorescent lamps, tomographs, cell phones, although almost always within the so-called integrated circuits.

The other objects named do not have transistors.

Why did galileo present both ideas in his book only to support the heliocentric theory?
Mashutka [201]

Explanation:

He subsequently used his newly invented telescope to discover four of the moons circling Jupiter, to study Saturn, to observe the phases of Venus, and to study sunspots on the Sun. Galileo's observations strengthened his belief in Copernicus' theory that Earth and all other planets revolve around the Sun.

Why did agriculture suffer serious problems in the roman empire
jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

Roman Agriculture describes the farming practices of ancient Rome, during a period of over 1000 years. From humble beginnings, the Roman Republic (509 BCE to 27 BCE) and empire (27 BCE to 476 CE) expanded to rule much of Europe, northern Africa, and the Middle East and thus comprised many agricultural environments of which the Mediterranean climate of dry, hot summers and cool, rainy winters was the most common. Within the Mediterranean area, a triad of crops was most important: grains, olives, and grapes.

The great majority of the people ruled by Rome were engaged in agriculture. From a beginning of small, largely self-sufficient landowners, rural society became dominated by latifundium, large estates owned by the wealthy and utilizing mostly slave labor. The growth in the urban population, especially of the city of Rome, required the development of commercial markets and long-distance trade in agricultural products, especially grain, to supply the people in the cities with food.
