Is the following an example of a simile, metaphor, paradox, or personification?
NeTakaya
A simile, because a simile is a phrase that includes the words like or as and your example says "-sounded like a freight train" so it's comparing the sound of the storm, to the sound of the freight train.

Which story is the clearest example of metafiction? A. A story told by a third person narrator B. A story that features a main c
Ymorist [56]

Answer:

The clearest example of metafiction is story C. A story with footnotes that comment on the author's process.

There are many resources that can be employed to make use of metafiction (a narrative technique in which the author constantly reminds the reader that he or she is reading a fictional work), and some of them include:

Telling a story within a story

Telling a story about a third person who's reading or writing a book

And of course, telling a story and making use of footnotes to comment on it

In this way the reader is engaged and becomes a participant in the story, forcing himself to think about the nature of the narration and how much credibility exists in the stories he/she reads.

In a brief report (100-200 words), relate the moral or lesson learned by Everyman to your own life as a Christian. Use specific
Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

Check below for the answer and explanations.

Explanation:

When death came to Everyman to announce that he would soon come visiting and that Everyman would soon be brought to judgement before God. Everyman sought for help from all quarters; fellowships, kinsmen, good works, beauty knowledge, etc, but only good works was able to follow Everyman to his grave.

It is pitiful that even the fellowship could not help Everyman when they realized he was set for a journey of no return. As Christians, our trust should not be put in man, we should rather trust on God and act right before him because only this can help us here on Earth and hereafter. Only our good works can save our souls from being punished before the judgement throne.

I remember failing to enrol for an entrance examination into the university because of financial incapacity. I went to the fellowship with high hopes thinking my problems are solved, it is sad that no one in a congregation of hundred members could come to my aid. They all gave an excuse or another.

This is similar to Everyman's case in the play, no one in the fellowship could assist him when he was in dire need. Therefore, as a devout christian, I have learnt not to put my trust in man but in God, and to ensure that my good works are capable of speaking for me in eternity.
