The Petition of Right reinforces the Magna Carta.

Explanation

Magna carta was a lawful document which was signed by king john which clearly stated that nobody was supposed to go against the law not even the king himself. It also guaranteed all the individuals the rights to justice and equal trial regardless of their occupation or race. Its main purpose was to stop the king from abusing his power which made the people of England to suffer.

The Petition of Right was a statement which was sent by the parliament which denied the king finance on the foreign polices which were of no benefit to the nation. This petition of right reinforced the magna carta.

The Petition of Right was made to restate the legitimacy of the Magna Carta. Parliament used it because the King had been going against Magna Carta by gathering forced loans.
