It is definitely linear

5xy+4=9

5xy=5

xy=1

y=1/x

So this is of the form kx^(-1), this is not linear as the rate of change is not constant...only kx^1 will have a constant rate of change and be linear.

If you graph it you will see that it is exponential....definitely not a straight line :P

what is the slope-intercept form for a line that has a slope of -4/5 and passes through points (0,7)?
drek231 [11]

\bf (\stackrel{x_1}{0}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{7})~\hspace{10em} slope = m\implies -\cfrac{4}{5} \\\\\\ \begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{point-slope form}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}\implies y-7=-\cfrac{4}{5}(x-0) \\\\\\ y-7=-\cfrac{4}{5}x\implies y=-\cfrac{4}{5}x+7

6th-grade math, fill out the table! :)
Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

21 wins, table is attached.

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of 7 wins to 2 losses is 7:2. A ratio is just saying that every time one value is increased by 7, the other is increased by 2.

So we can fill out the table, in every iteration wins increases by 7 and losses increases by 2.

When we fill this out, we find that when losses is 6, wins is 21, so when you have 2 losses you have 21 wins.

Hope this helped!
