Peter: Do you watch TV?

Danny: Sometimes. My parents do not like watching TV.

Peter: Why is that?

Danny: They say TV manipulates people.

Peter: But it is a way to spend time watching funny movies and cartoons.

Danny: But it is also a wat to watch sensational news, violence and adult content.

Peter: Well, that is true...sometimes. Buy TV programs also teach you something. For instance, on the PBS channel, you can find cultural programs. Some channels show you the history of humans, or even the way animals live. That is educative.

Danny: I know, but my mother sometimes watches other shows that are so boring, with no real content at all. Just evasive information to distract people and make them forget about important things. And there are also too many advertising adds that are always selling something "new," promoting consumerism...
