You could save money by taking the bus or riding your bike instead of driving. When you drive, you have to pay for car insurance as well as gas. Also, you could shop at thrift stores instead of buying brand name clothing. One shirt at a Plato’s Closet is equivalent to 6 at a store like Vans. You could also create a monthly budget, looking at how much you make versus how much you can allot to utilities, food, transportation, miscellaneous, etc.

As the CEO, if the business does well, the CEO does well. While the CEO likely does have a strong background in business, that doesn't automatically make his words completely valid. You must take into account the bias and incentive he has to make his employees work harder so he doesn't have to.
