which sentence is correct: the students passed the exam last week or the students were passed the exam last week.
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

The students passed the exam last week.

Explanation:

Because the second sentence says the students WERE passed the exam last week and were doesn't need to be in there. Therefore it is not correct.

Which type of criminal intelligence do you think poses the highest risk of civil rights infringement? Why?
Murljashka [212]

I think Intelligence itself is a high risk of CR infringement........coz it requires running informants, wiretapping, trying to keep tabs on everyone, and threatening to charge them with critical offenses if they never turn states evidence. also , you need ability to monitor and interdict your operations.

Based on the information provided, the suffix –ist here most likely means:

“one who practices”

Explanation:

A suffix is/are a group of letters that are added towards the end of a noun or verb which would add more meaning to the word or also change the function of the word.

Regarding the same, the letters –ist is added to the word science which makes it “scientist” and similarly for atom, making it “atomists”. This changes the meaning of the word by making it belong to a person in the form of an occupation that a person holds.
