Answer: athletic ability

Some things are 100% genetic based whilst some are 100% environmental based and some are a clear combination of the two.

Things like our color of eyes, blood type, quality vision, teeth, and certain diseases are purely genetic based. Children tend to get the eye color based on what they receive from their parents.

Whereas, what kind of language, religion and social traits you adapt are purely environmental based.

Traits that are a combination of both genetic and environment are height, weight and diseases.

Which of the following processes is NOT properly matched with its description?
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

External respiration: CO2 diffuses into the blood

Explanation:

External respiration is also called the pulmonary gas exchange. It refers to the diffusion of O2 from the air in the alveoli of the lungs to blood in pulmonary capillaries and diffusion of CO2 in the opposite direction from the capillary blood into the alveolar air. External respiration in the lungs is responsible for oxygenation of deoxygenated blood coming from the right side of the heart. The oxygenated blood is then returned to the left side of the heart.

What environmental stimulus is most likely to result in a more rapid heartbeat in an animal?
Kipish [7]

Answer:

This question is incomplete, the options are:

A) Decreased temperature

B) Strong southerly winds

C) Presence of a predator

D) Lack of water

The answer is C

Explanation:

A stimulus is something that provokes a response or reaction in a living organism. It can either be internal or external. An animal can respond to stimulus such as hunger, heat, predator etc.

However, among all the listed stimuli in the options, the PRESENCE OF A PREDATOR is most likely to result in a more rapid heartbeat in an animal. This is because the predator stimulus will require the animal to respond by running in order to survive. Running will increase its metabolic activity and cause its heartbeat to increase.
