Answer:

Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia and persecuted its enemies.

Explanation:

Genocide is termed as the intentional killing of a group of people by another, a more superior group who thinks that the others are an obstacle for their development. These killings led to a mass murder of people, generally based on their ethnic or racial backgrounds.

The genocide in Cambodia was led by the Khmer Rouge under the leadership of Pol Pot who worked towards <em>"re-educating"</em> the people from western influence. The party took over the nation and began persecuting its enemies. During this genocide, specific ethnic groups were rounded up and killed in mass numbers, using pickaxes which became famous as <em>"the killing fields".  </em>Such type of genocide is also called as ethnic cleansing, a specific removal of a particular ethnic group.

How has the Arizona-Sonoran region developed a separate identity that is neither American nor Mexican? How has the region contri
Eva8 [605]

Arizona and Sonora share the same ecosystem, the Sonoran Desert region. They share common history, several Native American tribes on both sides of the border, and they have six border twin towns. The natural boundary is 361 miles long and it has never been a totally closed border. Arizona needed Sonora's miners and ranchers and they have been the biggest source of migrants to the USA.

Because of the constant flow of people across the border, the Arizona-Sonora region <em>developed its own separate identity.</em> Many people living there are bilingual and commute daily to the other side of the border for work. Their value system has been affected by the proximity of a different culture. As a result of that, intercultural and interracial mixing took place that created a generation of people who feel a connection to both countries at the same time. Prejudices have been reduced and stereotypes abolished.

<em>The interdependence</em> between the USA and Mexico has always been and still is business related. Starting with vegetables trading, the cross border shopping and manufacturing developed into big industry today. A major economy connection has developed through the maquiladora sector. Arizona based companies operate about 30% of maquiladoras in Sonora and Sonora's economy is dependent on this and the automobile industry in Arizona.

Cross-border shopping, tourism ( for pleasure and medical reasons), joined environmental projects, bilingual schools and cultural events are all parts of the interdependence between the two countries.

What is the relationship between the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights? (1 point)
lesantik [10]

The correct answer to this question is D. This is because A, implies that the Declaration of Independece guarantees the individual rights, but it briefly mentions some of this freedoms, such as those of life, liberty and the pursuit of hapiness in order to argue the reaons why the decision of the States to declare themselves independent from the British Crown, so it does not really explain these rights.

Regarding B, the bill of rights, that is, the first 10 Ammendments of the Constitution, does not deal with the reasons for revolution, as this body of ammendments is the result of the evolution of the society, its needs and demands: they were created along the time, as a result of a process, so they are not entirely linked to the reasons for the revolution.

And finally, C probably best describes the Constitution, which is the one that creates the Government as it certainly outlines its structure as we see it today, and in any case replaces the Declaration of Independence which doesn´t really deal with the creation of the Government.

As a conclusion, the Declaration of Independence is the political statement which sets the will of the new nation, whereas the Constitution, as the result of this initial statement, creates the Government, that at the same time, recognizes the individual rights as an expression of the Declaration and is adopted by the Constitution to guarantee the enforceability of these Rights.
