How does the sahara desert act like a barrier between North Africa and sub-saharan Africa.
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

It is difficult to cross.

Explanation:

The Sahara desert is a vast region about the size of the continental United States that is extremely dry and barren. The lack of water resources in the desert make the land unsuitable for agriculture and human population.

As a result, the Sahara acts as a giant natural wall both economically, culturally, and socially since relations between states to the north and south of the desert are difficult.

Tanzania [10]

The answer is D. The Cultural Revolution, formally the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, was a sociopolitical movement in China from 1966 until 1976. Launched by Mao Zedong, then Chairman of the Communist Party of China, its stated goal was to preserve Chinese Communism by purging remnants of capitalist and traditional elements from Chinese society, and to re-impose Mao Zedong Thought (known outside China simply as Maoism) as the dominant ideology within the Party.

In the violent struggles that ensued across the country, millions of people were persecuted and suffered a wide range of abuses including public humiliation, arbitrary imprisonment, torture, hard labor, sustained harassment, seizure of property and sometimes execution. A large segment of the population was forcibly displaced, most notably the transfer of urban youth to rural regions during the Down to the Countryside Movement. Historical relics and artifacts were destroyed and cultural and religious sites were ransacked.  Hope this helps! ~ Autumn :)

Ramon knew that the wave amplitude on a seismogram measures how severe an earthquake is. In a magnitude 8 earthquake, the waves
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

10 times; 2 times.

Explanation:

A seismograph can be defined as an instrument that is used for monitoring, detecting and recording the direction, duration and magnitude (intensity) of an earthquake in a particular geographical location. Also, a seismogram is the graphical representation of the parameters or quantities such as wave amplitude measured by seismograph.

In this scenario, Ramon knew that the wave amplitude on a seismogram measures how severe an earthquake is. In a magnitude 8 earthquake, the waves are ten (10) times larger than a magnitude 7 earthquake. However, the energy released is two (2) times greater.
