Volume= height x width x depth
Volume (cube)=side³

Vt=total volume
V₁(1 foot)=(1 foot)³=1 foot³
V₂( x feet)=( x feet)³=x³ feet³

Vt(x)=V₁+V₂=(1+x³)  feet³
