Urgent I need it today! How did bonanza farms make it hard for small farms to compete in the 19th century?
mafiozo [28]

Bonanza farms were farms were huge farms in the western United States. In the late 1800's, companies and the wealthy bought thousands of acres and established wheat farms. they hired people to work the land for them, much like a factory.

Since they could produce large quantities of wheat, it drove down the price of the product. Small farmers couldn't compete with the lower price point. They were not making enough money from their crops, if they had to sell them at the lowered cost set by the bonanza farmers.

Nat2105 [25]

The correct answer for 38 is: "I, II, III, and IV".

The rise of agribusiness was fueled by technological developments like the standardization of procedures, that helped disseminate good practices among all farmers. Factory Farming is a consequence of the use of standardized techniques, as these practices were taken in order to make large scale production possible.

As a response to the growth of the industry, several businesses appeared as demand for "organic" products (products that were not grown with fertilizers and other substances) is growing.

The growing need for alternative fuels to the traditional fossil fuels has made many farmers shift their strategy to growing crops that area primary resource for alternative fuels. This hinders the food industry and has faced resistance from other groups.

The correct answer for question 39, is the conclusion I.

Territories within the United States offer favorable conditions that make it possible for wheat and corn to grow. One cannot pick the other conclusions as they are making inferences on information that is not available in the statement.
