Answer:

The answer is: taught by our traditional people

Explanation:

The story of "An Indian Father's Plea" is a letter of an Indian father to his son's teacher. The letter asks the teacher to reconsider a student's skill according to a <em>student's cultural background and not merely through his capability to adjust with the modern way of education.</em>

Obviously, the father in the letter was protecting his 5-year-old son who was considered by the teacher as a<em> "slow learner."</em>

Part of the passage supports the father's claim that his son has math skills. His son's mathematical skill was shaped by being taught by the traditional people in his area. For example, he was taught to count by using<u> sticks.</u> He learned how to count<em> by listening to his mother while she was counting the beads whenever she made necklaces and beads.</em> He was also taught to count by his grandmother and aunts whenever they were making native baskets.

What is an adjective
UkoKoshka [18]

An adjective is a word or phrase naming an attribute and added to or grammatically related to a noun to modify or describe it.

For example, red, quick, happy, and obnoxious are adjectives because they can describe things—a red hat, the quick rabbit, a happy duck, an obnoxious person.

in lord of the flies chapter 5 what is the significance of the conversation between Ralph, Jack and piggy at the end of the chap
lord [1]

Explanation:

Summary: Chapter 5

As Ralph walks along the beach, he thinks about how much of life is an improvisation and about how a considerable part of one’s waking life is spent watching one’s feet. Ralph is frustrated with his hair, which is now long, mangy, and always manages to fall in front of his eyes. He decides to call a meeting to attempt to bring the group back into line. Late in the evening, he blows the conch shell, and the boys gather on the beach.

At the meeting place, Ralph grips the conch shell and berates the boys for their failure to uphold the group’s rules. They have not done anything required of them: they refuse to work at building shelters, they do not gather drinking water, they neglect the signal fire, and they do not even use the designated toilet area. He restates the importance of the signal fire and attempts to allay the group’s growing fear of beasts and monsters. The littluns, in particular, are increasingly plagued by nightmare visions. Ralph says there are no monsters on the island. Jack likewise maintains that there is no beast, saying that everyone gets frightened and it is just a matter of putting up with it. Piggy seconds Ralph’s rational claim, but a ripple of fear runs through the group nonetheless.
