According to Paul's teachings about children's relationships with their parents, the Bible tells all children to "obey your parents in the Lord," because this is right in God's sight. It means that God wants all children to honor and obey their parents. It is also found in the old testament where God has included this command in the Ten Commandments given to Moses through a list of things that God wants and hates. It's the fifth command in Exodus 20:12 asking children to obey their parents.

It is of great importance for me to obey my parents as this is a sign that one respects the commands of God and its a source of blessing from God.

To improve a relationship with my parents is by being obedient to my parents and the teachings of God.

Which of these scenarios would be considered illegal in light of the provisions of the 13th Amendment?
irinina [24]

The correct answer is A) African American people born in South Carolina were forced to tend the fields of a master for no wages.

The 13th Amendment (passed in 1865) made slavery and involuntary servitude illegal. This means that a person must be paid for their work. This is why scenario A would be the correct answer, as the person is essential enslaved to the plantation owner in this scenario.

Describe the complex cause and effect
iragen [17]

Answer: The answer is complex and not straightforward.

Explanation:

The article relates to Churchill and Roosevelt, so is probably dated from World War 2.

Given this and the reference to the use of force by aggressive nations it is reasonable to assume that this refers to the Axis nations and their allies, primarily Germany, Japan and Italy.

What is being referred to is reflected in the policies applied to Germany and Japan at the end of World War 2. (Italy had already switched sides and deposed Mussolini).

In the post war agreements drawn up, Germany and Japan were largely demilitarised with strict control over their armed forces. In the case of West Germany their limited armed forces existed only within the context of NATO to prevent any aggressive use as was evidenced at the beginning of World War 2.

In both instances these countries were not allowed to develop or possess nuclear weapons.

Until such time as there is a global disarmament treaty, as referred to in the article, then countries which are deemed "aggressive", the losers in a conflict, by others, the winners, have arms controls imposed.

Of course this does not and has not stopped the proliferation of weapons, and conflicts throughout the world since 1945, including the aggressive policies of countries such as the UK and the USA.

Why were so many Japanese soldiers killed in battle of owl him a instead of being taken prisoner
MAVERICK [17]
Many Japanese soldiers were killed in battle of Iwo Jima because:

1) Their shinobi code of honor: They had a some 'rules' they had to follow. One of which was that they could not be captured. If they were wounded, they would have to suicide, and it was particularly better to take their own life when the enemies were around.
2) Because of this, they did not have respect for any Allied soldiers that surrendered. This made the Allies wary of the Japanese, and fought the Japanese with a different "rule" then their German counterparts. In fact, some soldiers adopted the motto "shoot before you ask questions", and it was used widely in battles. This motto meant that they would accept no prisoners.
3) Iwo Jima was considered to be part of the Japanese homeland that was born out of the ocean when the Japanese god created the world. To them, this land was sacred, and they said & thought that these lands would never be conquered. This was part of the reason why many soldiers fought to the death, because they believed that their Islands would never be taken over by foreigners.

fun fact: Kamikaze, meant divine wind, and it was widely used by the Japanese during the war, even on Iwo Jima. In the history before WW2, a group of Korean ships set sailed to attack Japan (back in the Samurai ages). However, they met strong winds and storms, and the attack force was destroyed. The Japanese named this kind of wind "<em>kamikaze</em>".
