The Raven won 9 baseball games for every 4 that they lost. If they lost 28 games how many games did they win?

Mathematics
2 answers:
Alex3 years ago
7 0

for every 4 lost games , games won = 9

for every 1 lost game , games won = 9/4

for every 28 games lost , games won = 9/4 * 28

= 252/4

=63 games

what we did is that we first divided 9 by 4 to find the number of games won for every 1 game lost

Now once we get number of games won for every 1 game lost

we can simply multiply it by 28 to get the number of games won , for 28 lost games.

So answer is 63 games

Determine whether the following sampling is dependent or independent. Indicate whether the response variable is qualitative or q
NeTakaya

Answer:

1. option D

2. option A

Step-by-step explanation:

Independent samples are samples that are selected randomly so that its observations do not depend on the values other observations. Thus, this sampling is independent. The sampling is independent because an individual selected for one sample does not dictate/affect which individual is to be in the second sample.

The variable is qualitative because it is an attribute classification. A qualitative variable are variables that are not numerical. It describes data that fits into categories (personality type).

Write the equation x2−4x=−12 in standard form. =0 Question 2 Identify the values of a,b, and c that you would use to solve the e
almond37 [142]

Answer:

The values for a, b c are:

a = 1

b = -4

c = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to make it in standard form we need to swap the "-12" to the left side. When we swap numbers from one side to the other of an equation we need to invert their operation so the equation will still be valid, so in this case the number "-12" will go to the left side as "+12". We have:

x² - 4x + 12 = 0

The values for a, b c are:

a = 1

b = -4

c = 12
