PEMDAS.

Parentheses

Exponents

Multiplication

Division

Addition

Subtraction

Lets apply that here.

72-[(3x2^3)+48]

So first we start with (3x2^3)

2^3=8

3*8=24

now we do 24+48 which equals 72

now we have 72-72 which equals zero.

So

72-[(3x2^3)+48] = 0

zloy xaker [14]
This is fairly simple, you just have to know how to set up an equation like this. It says that the package weighs 2340 grams. The item removed weights 700 grams. You just have to subtract these values to get the new weight of the package. 2340-700=1640

Which pair of polygons are congruent?
dalvyx [7]

Answer: D) pairs 2 and 4

Pair 2 shows one figure rotated 180 degrees compared to the other, and translated as well. So they are congruent (ie the same).

Pair 4 shows one triangle reflected over the vertical line x = 22 to get the other triangle; which shows they are the same triangle.

The other pairs are not congruent. You can show that the areas of each figure being different is enough to prove they aren't the same figure.
