Answer:

A. $74,000

Explanation:

Since in this question, Tiffany is retired so we have to find the new ratio which is shown below:

As Tiffany take the shares of both the partners in 3: 2

So, the new ratio would be

Ron share = (3 ÷ 5) × (1 ÷ 6) = 3 ÷ 30

Stella share = (2 ÷ 5) × (1 ÷ 6) = 2 ÷ 30

So the ratio would be 3: 2

The 1 ÷ 6 is the Tiffany ratio

Now the balance after Tiffany withdraws from the partnership equals to

= Paid amount by Tiffany - Tiffany capital

= $60,000 - $50,000

= $10,000

Ron's given amount = ($10,000 × 3 ÷ 5) = $6,000

So, Ron's capital balance equals to

= Ron's capital - Ron's given amount

= $80,000 - $6,000

= $74,000

Both of the following companies are merchandisers that began operations this year. X Company Y Company Cash from operating activ
stellarik [79]

Answer:

Company X

Explanation:

It seems company X made more purchase for PPE

Investing activities refers to the purchase of long-term assets or investment

Considering Company X used 200,000 cash for investing activities

while Company Y used 100,000 cash for investment activities.

We can assume Company X made more purchase of PPE

However, company Y could made purchase without cash (issued of shares, or signing a note) Which will not use cash.

Ever After Incorporated has common stock that is expected to grow at a rate of 15% over the next year. After this first year, it
dem82 [27]

Answer:

$66.99

Explanation:

The computation of value of the stock is shown below:-

= Dividend in year 1 ÷ (1 + required rate of return) + 1 ÷ (1 + required rate of return) × ((Dividend in year 1 × (1 + growth rate) ÷ (required rate of return - growth rate))

= ($2.33 × 1.15) ÷ 1.06 + 1 ÷ 1.06 × (($2.33 × 1.15 × 1.02) ÷ (0.06 - 0.02))

= $2.6795 ÷ 1.06 + 1 ÷ 1.06 × ($2.73309 ÷ 0.04)

= $2.527830189 + 0.943396226 × $68.32725

= $2.527830189 + 64.45966981

= $66.9875

or $66.99

Therefore for computing the value of stock we simply applied the above formula.
