In Macbeth, the classical play by William Shakespeare, the author dramatically shows the physical and psychological damage that political ambition has on those who seek power. Macduff's first reaction to the fight of Duncan's son, was that the servants that killed the father of Malcolm and Donalbain were hired by their sons, which them later fled to avoid confrontation. However, it was later clarified that the sons were innocent ant they only fled because they were afraid to be targets of a conspiracy.
