Which word correctly completes this sentence?

Spanish
2 answers:
lawyer [7]3 years ago
7 0

Answer:

The correct answer is: Option C. Aquéllos.

Explanation:

Although all of the options are valid demonstrative adjectives, the correct answer is the one with the ending that corresponds to the gender and number of the noun that the speaker is referring to.

In this case the speaker is talking about “pantalones” (pants or trousers) which in Spanish is always a plural and masculine noun. On the other hand, from the four demonstrative adjectives given as options, the only one that is properly used with plural masculine nouns is “aquellos”.

Note: The accent mark on the options C and D is no longer used in modern Spanish.

(Assuming the myth is referring to the United States)

The myth comes from people who don't like immigrants and who don't want immigrants to come to their country.

A person who might be xenophobic or someone who already lives in the country that the immigrants are coming from. For example an American who doesn't want someone from Latin America coming over. They may benefit from this myth to victimize themselves that the country is being "overrun by illegals".

This myth is untrue because there are many legal immigrants that arrive here legally.
