So there is 65 yards and one yard is 3 feet so you multiple 65 by 3 which is 195 . Then you divide by 4 as you have to see how many four foot pieces can be cut which you end up with 48.75 which means that you can have 48 four foot pieces. So since you have 48 four foot pieces you multiply 48 by 4 and you have 192 and if you subtract 195 which is how many feet there is in the 65 yards you get three feet and that is how much of the rope that is left over.

Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

B. c = fλ

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation is

f=\frac{c}{\lambda}

To solve for c you must multiply both sides of the equation by lambda.

f=\frac{c}{\lambda}\\f\lambda=\frac{c}{\lambda}*\lambda \\f \lambda=c

To see how costly it would be for other people to compete a similar cycling tour, you decide to work out two averages and compar
Damm [24]

Group A

Money spent by Person 1 = £500

Money spent by Person 2 = £600

Money spent by Person 3 = £900

Money spent by Person 4 = £450

Sum of money spent by group A = £2,450

Average money spent by group A = \frac{2,450}{4}

⇒ Average money spent by group A = £612.5

Group B

Money spent by Person 1 = £700

Money spent by Person 2 = £500

Money spent by Person 3 = £680

Money spent by Person 4 = £500

Sum of money spent by group B = £2,380

Average money spent by group B = \frac{2,380}{4}

⇒ Average money spent by group B = £595

Hence, Group B had lower average spend.

A science teacher ordered $1848 worth of microscopes and dissection kits for the new science lab. A total of 30 microscopes and
andrezito [222]

Answer:

Microscopes cost $44 and Dissection Kits cost $11

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the information given, we can make the system of equations:

30x+48y=1848

x represents the price of microscopes and y represents the price of dissection kits.

We also know that microscopes will be 4x the price of dissection kits. Therefor:

x=4y

We can plug these two equations together to find the answer.

30(4y)+48y=1848

120y+48y=1848

168y=1848

y=11

Using the y-value, can find the x-value.

x=4(11)

x=44
