What happened during the<br> American Revolution?
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

American Revolution, also called United States War of Independence or American Revolutionary War, (1775–83), insurrection by which 13 of Great Britain’s North American colonies won political independence and went on to form the United States of America. The war followed more than a decade of growing estrangement between the British crown and a large and influential segment of its North American colonies that was caused by British attempts to assert greater control over colonial affairs after having long adhered to a policy of salutary neglect. Until early in 1778 the conflict was a civil war within the British Empire, but afterward it became an international war as France (in 1778) and Spain (in 1779) joined the colonies against Britain. Meanwhile, the Netherlands, which provided both official recognition of the United States and financial support for it, was engaged in its own war against Britain. From the beginning, sea power was vital in determining the course of the war, lending to British strategy a flexibility that helped compensate for the comparatively small numbers of troops sent to America and ultimately enabling the French to help bring about the final British surrender at Yorktown.

How did tje fugitive slave act and the kansas nebraska act increaee tensions between north n south
mario62 [17]
The fugitive slave act angered many northerners who wanted to obtain equality, for it made it so that freed African Americans were sent back down to the South to work yet again in the system of slavery. The Kansas Nebraska Act was put into place so that Stephen Douglas would be able to have his transcontinental railroad in the north. It made it so that the Kansas and Nebraska territories were no longer free states, and were now up to popular sovereignty - meaning whether or not slavery would exist there now depended on a vote. The Kansas Nebraska Act ended up causing the Sack of Lawrence where Missourians who had been planning to go up to Kansas to throw the vote in favor of being a slave state, found out that some northerners had also planned on this, and had set up camp in the city of Lawrence. About 800 southern men marched up to Lawrence to get rid of the northerners - only to find that the northerners had heard of this and fled. Angered, the southern men ransacked and burned down the town. The Sack of Lawrence then caused the North to retaliate with the Pottawatomie Massacre. In the Pottawatomie Massacre, John Brown and a small group of his followers marched up to southern men's homes and murdered them.

How did different native peoples and outside countries compete for control of the northwest ?
Stells [14]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Unfortunately, you did not include options or further references, we can say the following.

Different native peoples and outside countries competed for control of the northwest because they knew the kind of raw materials and natural resources of the Norwest. So Native American Indian tribes competed and fought with white Europeans that were interested in taking those lands and remove the Indians to exploit those raw materials in order to make big profits.

The crucial years were from 1774 to 1812. Many Europeans arrived at the Pacific Northwest to participate in the fur trade. We are talking about merchants from countries such as Russia, England, Portugal, Spain, and France. They tried to establish trade with different Native American tribes such as the Haida people, the Salish, and the Makah.

Answer:

Due to the fact that the paintings portray a view of heroism and victory in terms of the atmosphere and feeling that it gives off, one would assume that the outcome of these battles were a positive one, given the light in which they are painted and portrayed within.
