D) Subject is the element necessary to complete the sentence above.
You already have a predicate (drives), so you don't need that, or a subordinate/independent clause. What you do need is a subject. For example:
Mercedes drives like no other car.

Rilke referred to his poems as “_____ poems.”
Alinara [238K]
Rainer Maria Rilke's referred to his poems as 'mystical' poems. This is because his literary pieces contains haunting images, with the combined theme of beauty and suffering, as well as life and death. Rilke's themes in his works is the exact opposite of Shakespeare's. Shakespeare used intellectual symbols rather than physical, while Rilke gives emphasis on physical rather than intellectual symbols.

The description that best suits the novel is "_____." the real world never, never land the good old days fairy tale
aev [14]
The appropriate response is this real world. On the off chance that you discuss this real world, you are alluding to the world and life all in all, rather than a specific individual's own particular life, experience, and thoughts, which may appear to be untypical and doubtful.

: Explain Beowulf’s reasoning behind the method he will use to fight Grendel. What does this reveal about the relationship betwe
ddd [48]
Beowulf tells Hrothgar that he will fight Grendel with his bare hands, as Grendel doesn't fight with weapons (it seems he can't even be killed with a blade). The only help Beowulf will get is the help of his warriors. Beowulf is aware that the lives of all his warriors are at stake, and anticipates that Grendel will eat them if they fail, but he is still eager to do this. This reveals that the leader is always the first one to fight, in front of his followers. But although he vouches for their lives, they must follow him to death, if need be.
Just like Beowulf is a leader to his warriors, Hrothgar, as a king, is the spiritual leader of the realm. Beowulf yields to him and wants to fight and even die for him, as Hrothgar represents the God's will on Earth. When the realm is physically endangered by a murderous, devilish villain, it means that the God's order on Earth is symbolically endangered, and it takes a hero to restore it.
