The Priest-King and the Dancer

History
1 answer:

The Dancing Girl and the Priest-King are two of the most significant archaeological findings in Mohenjo-Daro, actual Pakistan, as representative of the Indus- Valley civilization.

What have led to think the figure belongs to a priest - king is the set of ornamental features it displays, which is unusual. Among these features, there is a fillet or band on his head, a cloak decorated with trefoils, this is a figure composed by three overlapped rings and an armband. All this together might evidence that this figure represents a person holding a special level in this civilization, although there is no evidence of kings or rulers in Mohenjo - Daro.
