In the novel, after Mary Shelley's mother died her dad Godwin took care of her, this connects to the novel. When Victor Frankenstein's mother died from disease, his dad took care of him. In both situations, the mother died when they are young and the dad took care of him/her.

Which of the following best describes the narrator's mother? from An Indian Teacher Among Indians
Rudik [331]

Answer:

I think I would've really enjoyed this one when I was a kid. It's kind of a fiction/non-fiction hybrid. It's the story of Ryan O'Brian and his inability to stop composing poetry. It continues all day, and the reader is introduced to a variety of poetic forms. The story comes to a conclusion when Ryan's teacher gives the class a poetry-writing assignment... and Ryan finds that he's finally drawing a blank!

Read the quote by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Write a one paragraph response in which you tell what the quote means and how it a
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

Dr. King’s tone as he begins his letter is remarkably restrained. Considering the context – he was in solitary confinement when he learned that Birmingham clergymen had together issued a statement criticizing him and praising the city’s bigoted police force – he had every reason to make his letter a rant. And yet this address announces his purpose loud and clear: he aims not to attack but to explain. Rather than indicate what separates him from the other clergy, he calls them “fellow clergymen,” underlining one of the letter’s main themes: brotherhood. Of course, there is no shortage of passive aggressive attacks and criticism throughout the letter, but the tone remains polite, deferential, at times almost apologetic, creating a friendly and ironic tone. This marvelous collection of attributes is present from these very first words.

Correct the inappropriate shift in verb voice or mood by rewriting the sentence below.
Komok [63]
I wouldn't use the word "discovered" it just seems a bit off. I'd rewrite the sentence with a simpler word yet easy to say and understand: "When we searched the school for damage, a new broken window was found." I hope this helps you. My apologies if this is incorrect.
