Last Saturday I visited your showroom in Springfield and ordered an oak desk and two matching three-drawer filing cabinets for my study. When I arrived home this evening, I found the furniture had been delivered in my absence, but the filing cabinets were the four-drawer style. Unfortunately, I can use only the three-drawer style because I lack room for anything higher.

I will appreciate having these cabinets picked up and exchanged for the ones I ordered as soon as possible. Please call to arrange a time when I will be home. I trust this matter can be resolved very quickly, so I can get my files organized soon.

Sub: Formal Complaint about Poor Service

Dear Mr. Morrison,

Kindly treat this as a formal letter of complaint about the poor services that was rendered by your company the last friday, October 10, 2019.

We are disappointed because the service has not performed as it should perform, we visited the restaurant for a business meeting with some Japanese investors. We have to wait for one hour for the food and I noticed that the french fries had a terrible taste.

We would appreciate if you take some necessary action regarding the whole matter.  I would like to have a special prize for my next reservation and I recommend you to offer a fast service with high quality food.

Enclosed are the copies of the receipt.

Sincerely,

Mary Thompson

Difference between conditioned and unconditioned rules linguistics
GenaCL600 [577]
This is not my area of expertise but as far as I understand we refer to a conditioned sound change if a phoneme when in a certain environment becomes another phoneme - there is a certain condition that propells the change. On the other hand we refer to an unconditioned sound change if all phonemes of, for example, two different kinds are merged into one phoneme - there is no condition as it happens in all instances, and ultimately there is a reduction in the number of phonemes as one is substituted for another.

Pretend you are Sancho Panza and that you have been asked to deliver the eulogy or funeral speech at the memorial service for Do
polet [3.4K]

Dear friends, today we are gathered to say goodbye to Don Quixote, a great man, whom I have sweet memories and that will never be erased from my mind. Don Quixote was a dreamer, intelligent and courageous. Many called him crazy and throughout his life he had to live with the humiliation and mockery of his closest friends who saw him as insane for living his own convictions. I confess that I was one of those and I regret not having given my attention to him before. I believe his friends would also be sorry if they heard him without judgment, as I did when I decided to be his faithful squire.

Don Quixote was a knight inside and out, he dared to keep the wonderful world of fantasy in our cruel reality. He was noble, kind, generous and passionate ... in love with life, books, adventures, landscapes and fantasy. Today he promotes his latest adventure and while we say goodbye I ask him not to be sad to continue the walk without me, because I know that when we meet again, our trips will be even more profitable.

Which sentence has no errors in the use of end marks or commas? A. Did she say, "Your mother called"? B. Did she say, "Your moth
DanielleElmas [232]
It's B. Did she say, "Your mother called?"
The "end mark" is always before the quotation marks.
Yet, I have a feeling you know this already...just want to hurry and get this assessment done; right?
