The solution to the problem is as follows:

5log2(k) = log2(k^5)
8log2(m)= log2(m^8)
10log2(n)= log2(n^10)
now to subtract logs, you divide the arguments, keeping the same vase.
To add logs, multiply the arguments.

So log2(k^5)- log2(m^8)+ log2(n^10)= log2[k^5* n^10)/m^8]

A share of Southside stock sold for $37. The annual dividend is $1.85. Three years later the stock has increased 17% in value an
anastassius [24]

The price of the share 3 years later, given the increase in value, can be found to be $43.29

How to find the price per share?

The value of the Southside stock sold was $ 37 at the current age. Three years later, this value had increased by 17 %.

This means that the price of the share 3 years later would be:

= Share price currently x ( 1 + increase in value)

= 37 x ( 1 + 17 % )

= 37 x 1. 17

= $ 43. 29

The price is $43.29

Answer:

Multiply the second equation by 2

Solution: (-\frac{45}{11},\frac{29}{11})

Step-by-step explanation:

1) In order to use the elimination method to solve systems of equations, you must first multiply one or both of the equations so that the coefficients of a pair of terms with matching variables share the same number, but have opposite signs.

In this case, the y terms must fit that requirement. The y term in the first equation is 2y and the one in the second equation is -y. They already have opposite signs, one positive and other negative, so we just need -y to be -2y. So, in order to do that, multiply by 2.

2) After multiplying the whole second equation by 2, you will get 8x - 2y = -38. Now, add the the two equations together, eliminate the y terms, and isolate x to find its value.

3) Then, substitute that x value back into one of the equations to receive the y-value.

To better explain these steps, I attached pictures below.
