Ray UW is the angle bisector of VUT. If mVUW = (4x + 6)° and mWUT = (6x – 10)°, what is the measure of WUT?

The angle bisector cuts the angle exactly in half.
So the two angles are equal.
4x+6=6x-10. Solve for x
2x=16
x=8
So WUT is 6x-10=6(8)-10=48-10=38

The answer is 38 degrees

How can groundwater depletion affect streams and water quality?
navik [9.2K]

The groundwater is the largest freshwater reservoir on Earth in liquid form. These waters though are not isolated from the rest of the freshwater, but instead they are connected with the streams, thus they affect them heavily.

The groundwater has been heavily used in the last century, and it has been depleted. The depletion of the groundwater has been the result of over usage, or to put it simple, more water has been extracted than what naturally is replenished.

This has been causing more and more problems. Apart from the groundwater resources getting depleted and than be unusable, the depletion of their water has resulted in lowering of the level of water of the streams, as the streams have been receiving less and less water. Also, because there is much less water and it mixes with lot of ground and rocks, the water quality has been becoming worse and worse, and if this trend continues it can have devastating effects.

No links they don't work i need this now its a test<br> How do people use oases in this region?
jenyasd209 [6]
Hello,

I don’t know which region are you talking about but I have this :

In the middle of immense desert expanses, the oases appear like islands of greenery. To irrigate crops, sedentary peasants use wells or underground galleries called foggaras. They bring the water to the foot of the plants through a network of small earthen channels

Hope it helps a bit!
