what is the main idea in this story Poachers in Africa are killing large numbers of rhinos for their horns. Rhinoceros horns, va

lued for use in traditional medicines in Vietnam and China, can fetch as much as thirty-six thousand dollars a pound. Officials have tried to protect the rhinos: they have created fenced areas for the animals, patrolled their habitats, and even tried removing their horns. Despite these efforts, the number of rhinos in Africa has been dwindling. One creative solution to the poaching problem is to remove the rhinos from Africa altogether. Ray Dearlove, the founder of the Australian Rhino Project, came up with a plan to relocate eighty rhinos to a safari park outside Adelaide, Australia, where a breeding herd can be established.

Answer:

the main idea is to protect rhinos in Africa territory.

Explanation:

In my opinion relocate them (the rhinos) is not a good idea, totally artificial; instead government guards must detect who are these gangs that commercialize their horns and put them into JAIL. Because animals are unprotected by themselves, they need human protection, by protection areas strategies and political influences in order to maintain them in their natural habitat. This is my opinion. And hurry find another way to medicines ( Vietnam and China).

Molodets [167]

Answer:

C. The people felt relief at the end of their journey.

Explanation:

In this context, the sentence in quotation marks means that the people who had just endured a long and dangerous trip across the ocean felt relieved that their travels were over and that they were able to stand on solid ground once again. The sentence is, indeed, a simile, in which something, stepping foot on solid ground, is likened to something else, in this case, breathing fresh air.

Read the excerpt from act 2, scene 1, of The Tragedy of
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

Brutus decides to join the conspiracy against Caesar because he fears that Caesar will become ruthless once he has absolute power.

Explanation:

This is the best way to describe how the characterization of Caesar in the passage connects to the central idea. In this passage, Brutus reflects on the qualities of Caesar. He tells us that so far, he does not think he has any reason to doubt Caesar's integrity. However, he is unsure about the ways in which this character might change if Caesar is given more power. Despite his qualities, men who have a lot of power often abuse it. Therefore, Brutus concludes that he will join the conspiracy against Caesar because he fears that Caesar will become ruthless once he has absolute power.
