In the twenties, a whole new generation of people grew up who were not around before world war one and this new generation had its own beliefs and were different from their parents who were traditionalists. This new youth with their cultural belief became a target of advertisement companies who knew how to place their products for this new generation. They also had money because the 20s were good in the US because of production and manufacture post world war 1. These new people liked to dance and be progressive and many other things while the older generations were mostly similar in beliefs to the pre-war tradition. This is why the period was called the roaring 20s.
