Answer:

You are a human being (believe it or not). You are the only human being on this planet that is you, (I just blew your mind).

Being serious now, you are an individual on this planet that in some way is different from everybody else. You have one unique quality that nobody else has. You, have the power, to be you. Saying that, there is something that nobody on this planet, not even you, has the power to do. You, can not be somebody else.

You can try as hard as you want to to be somebody that you aren't, but you will never accomplish that, so why waste your time. Don't be afraid to show people who you are. If they don't accept that then that's there problem. I feel like there are going to be so many questions on this topic so the rest of this is just going to be me answering questions you might have.

How do I know if I'm being myself?

This is one of the hardest things to know, who you really are. So stop what your doing and think about yourself for a second. What kinds of things do you like and not like? Have you ever pretended to like something because a friend liked it? What are the top 5 things you like and don't like about your personality? What do people think of you VS. who you really are?

For example, if people think that you are a really shy person but you really aren't, and you have been acting shy because you feel like if you aren't then people will think that you have been lying to them about who you are this entire time. Just start not being shy, now! Who cares what other people think about you, nobody else's opinion matters about you but you. Know what you want to be and be it.

How do I get over the fear of what other people will think of me?

This is a very simple answer to what seems like a really complicated question, stop caring. If you care what other people will think of you for the rest of your life then you will become the person everybody wants you to be, or at least you will try too. But in the end you will just be tired from trying to please everybody, so don't waste time.

I have always wanted to show people that I can _____, but another person did the same thing and got bullied for it, I'm scared the same thing will happen to me.

I have a brother who is a really good singer, he is really talented. But he won't join choir because he thinks that people will think that he is lame for it. There is not one person in my choir class that gets bullied for the ability to sing. (Boys, tip for the future, girls find it hot when guys can sing, not stupid.)

If people make fun of you for having a talent so what! This is actually one way you will be able to tell your real friends from your fake ones. Your fake friends will make fun of you along with other people who you know where never your friends because they want to seem cool. But your real friends will support you and actually find it cool that you have an awesome talent.
