I accidentally went too far, but I still solved your question... the answer is 9x^2 - 6x
Hey there Alex,
With a problem like that, you have to get the variable (in this case it is W) by itself.
Now W is being divided by 4-13 which is -9, so it ends up looking like this.
In order to get W by itself, you need to multiply out the denominator.
That means take the denominator and multiply both sides by it.
The -9's cancel out and you are left with W = (11 x -9) which is -99.
W = -99
Divide 180 euros by 1.2 euro, and your answer is 150, so the answer should be 180 euros is converted to 150 pounds.
This function is sketched on the A picture.
<span>y – 2 = 2/3(x – 6)
</span>y = 2/3x - 4 + 2
y = 2/3x - 2
y = ax+b
b = -2
b is y-intercept
Zero of the function:
0 = 2/3x - 2
2 = 2/3x
x = 3
y-intercept (0, -2)
x- intercept (3, 0)
The x- intercept is where y = 0 on the graph and the y- intercept is where x= 0 on the graph. When X=0, all the terms, except for the constant are equal to zero, thus the y- intercept is the constant. y=10 when x=0. Use the quadratic formula to find the x value where y=0.
x= (-b +or- sqrt(b^2 -4ac))/2a
y=ax^2 +bx +c
The answer for the x- int is imaginary. This happens because 10 is the parabola's minimum value and it never touches the x- axis. y-int is 10
