Grover Cleveland was the one president who served two non-continuous terms (1885-1889 and 1893-1897). His reforms were concentrated on money. He gained most votes for "three presidential elections" in the year 1884, 1888 and 1892 respectively.

He was against high tariffs, inflation in the country, free silver, imperialism, and subsidies to trade, farmers, or veterans. He also fought against corruption, political favourism, and bossism.

He received recognition for doing such great thing for his country, honesty, self-reliance, integrity, and commitment towards the country.

Which of the following describes Nixon's attitude toward the power of the federal government?
Damm [24]

The correct answer is  Power needed to flow from Washington and back to the states.

This idea of having power flow from Washington (federal government) back to the states was part of Nixon's "New Federalism" program. Nixon ran for president on the idea that the federal government had become too large in scope and too intruding on American citizens.  He cited laws from Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and Lyndon B Johnson's Great Society Programs in order to justify his answer.

To change this type of government, Nixon argued for allowing the states to choose how they spend funds (money) from the federal government.
