Racial profiling is suspecting someone is a criminal based on their races, religion, or ethnicity. I think no matter what, racial profiling is wrong. African American does not equal criminal and Muslim does not equal terrorist. Mexican does not equal drug lord. I think law enforcement uses racial profiling based on recent news. Donald Trump is trying to enforce a Muslim ban and every where you look, you see news of radical Muslims killing innocence. Sometimes the news does more harm than good and it gives people a mindset that "if one does it, they must all do it," which isn't always 100% true.

I think racial profiling is always negative. If you judge someone based on their race or think that someone is more prone to violence because of their race, that can cause some serious misunderstandings or harm to that person. I do think that profiling based on someone's demeanor is helpful, though. As well as profiling based on obvious things like if they appear overly cautious or nervous.

4. Historical Question: What was the Union Army's strategy at the Battle of Antietam?
dangina [55]

The Union Army's strategy at the Battle of Antietam was to keep the army intact to avoid being flanked by the Confederacy.

What did the Union do at the Battle of Antietam?

At the Battle of Antietam, the Union Army knew that the Confederates would attempt to flank them by dividing their army. They knew this because they had found out General Lee's plans in advance.

As a result, the Union Commander, Gen. George B. McClellan, kept the army intact while trying to attack the flanks of the enemy. General Lee then attacked with all his force thinking that the Union would see this and fall back.

The Union responded by standing their ground and driving back the Confederate army. The strength of this strategy was that it won the battle for the Union. A limitation was that it cost many lives.

What country led in trying to stop Communism after World War II?
alexdok [17]
The country that tried to stop the spread of Communism would be the United States. After World War II, the United States saw the threat that Communism posed on the world, so they adopted policies to prevent the spread of it. These policies were known as containment because they were trying to contain the spread of Communism. This fueled the fire in what would be known as the Cold War, which was a time of heightened aggression between the United States and the Soviet Union. I hope this helps :)
