Answer:

 • Minerals are defined as those that occur naturally solid and inorganic in nature having a specific chemical composition and internal atomic structure. These minerals are formed due to the increasing pressure, temperature condition, and crystallization of magma. These minerals combine with one another to form a rock. for example, olivine, pyroxene, amphibole, and quartz.
 • On the other hand, rocks are the aggregates of minerals that are formed under certain conditions. The earth's crust is comprised of 3 types of rocks that contain numerous minerals. These 3 types of rocks are namely the sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks. The sedimentary rocks are formed due to the compaction and solidification of sediments. for example, sandstone, shale, and conglomerate. The igneous rocks are formed from the crystallization of magma beneath or on the surface of the earth. For example, granite, rhyolite, and basalt. Lastly, the metamorphic rocks are formed due to the increasing pressure and temperature conditions. For example, quartzite, schist, and gneiss.
 • Thus, both rocks and minerals are different but minerals combine with one another to form rocks.

Nat2105 [25]

TEM is a microscope that uses an electron beam. A transmission electron microscope is best for the study of structures smaller than cells.

TEM (Transmission Electron Microscope):

 • It is a large microscope that uses an electron beam instead of light.
 • It gives the highest resolution(0.2 nm) of available microscopes.
 • It has the highest magnification power (1000000) of very tiny organelles.

Therefore, a transmission electron microscope is best for the study of structures smaller than cells.
