Plessy v. Ferguson was a landmark Supreme Court Case where this 7/8 Caucasian and 1/8 African man was to be separated from other white people on a bus because of his African ethnicity. This case was significant because Plessy's conviction was upheld, and "separate but equal" facilities were to be implemented for both African Americans and Whites. Although that is, the facilities were inferior in quality for African Americans as opposed to Whites, and this case drastically affected people's ways of applying and using the 14th Amendment under the American Constitution. This case was in 1896.
