Dymtro Pavlychko is a Ukrainian poet and an important political figure who was instrumental in the People's movement of Ukraine which lead to the Independence of Ukraine from the USSR.

However, Dymtro was of the view that Ukraine needs to work on it's independence movement gradually through a structured process and not in a frenzy, revolution style.

He believe that a hurried independence might lead to a harsh response from Moscow, which would only result in a lot of lives being lost

Alja [10]
Hi,

Basalt is a rock that cooled quickly after lava erupted through a volcano. Basalt is a fine-grained rock. Fine-grained means a rock has smaller components of which the larger ones are composed. Extrusive rocks are usually fine-grained. When magma comes up to the surface and solidifies it forms fine-grained rocks like basalt.
