Write sentences to explain the purpose of the following paralinguistic features : stress, rhythm, pausing, phrasing
Elenna [48]

Answer:

  • Stress: This is simply the use of emphasis to make a point or to show

  • Rhythm: This is the use of measured or regulated movements or patterns that are determined by stressed or unstressed words.

  • Pausing: Pausing is the interruption or break up of something for a period of time mainly for either emphasis' sake.

  • Phrasing: The base word "phrase" means a group of words that do not have a verb and subject. Phrasing, however, is the way or method something is put into words or constructed.
