Who-or-what-is-responsible-for-the-tragic-ending-of-the-novel-the-great-gatsby?
Evgesh-ka [11]

It is perhaps Tom who is responsible for the tragic ending of the Great Gatsby.

Explanation:

Great Gatsby is a novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The novel ends by the death of three main characters who are Gatsby, Myrtle, and George Wilson. Tom was the one who informed Wilson about the death of his wife and which is why Wilson killed the main title character Jay Gatsby.

Great Gatsby had a very sad ending, and probably every character from the novel had an unfortunate role. Since the beginning of the novel Gatsby took a lot of efforts to fulfill his dreams but all his efforts went in vain in the end.

When the teacher entered to class we -———(finish /finished /had finished ) our work
Airida [17]

When the teacher entered the class, we had finished our work.

Therefore, C - Had Finished is the correct answer.

Using the right Tense

The sentence above has two events. They are:

 • Finishing Homework
 • The teacher entering the class.

Notice that both occurred in the past. The rule of proper use of verbs states that where both events have occurred, and one before the other, the proper tense to use is the past perfect tense.

Write an argumentative editorial that argues for or against young people's ability to initiate positive change in their communit
snow_tiger [21]
Young people should have the ability to initiate positive change in their communities because young people are the future of this planet, and they should be given more opportunities to learn, grow, and help this world. Young people need to be taught the valuable lessons of hard work by helping their community sustain itself through mowing lawns, cleaning the parks of litter, or power washing driveways. Doing some sort of activity, whether strenuous or subtle, to benefit the community, helps you grow as a person and provides you to build the mindset for future success in life.
