Which topic is best suited for a formal discussion?
just olya [345]

Hello there! I personally believe the answer will be:

the contents of a new textbook

The other ones seemed rather informal. Weekend plans with friends have no formality at all. As do the places to shop online for new shoes. The last one could be a candidate but it seems like something you would talk about with a friend or family member. Not so much your boss!

Hope this helped!

What makes Buck a good leader? How is he and even better leader than Spitz? Provide specific examples- at least two.
kow [346]

Buck is a better lead dog because he displayed good judgment, intelligence, the ability to keep order, and the skill to make the team work as hard as possible. Spitz was a great dog and leader; Buck was superior even to him.

Buck's leadership skills are very strong. He has a knack for making the other dogs do their share of the work, and he is also a good teacher for the new dogs added to the team.

Having just been hit by a car, I rushed over to see if Gunther was still breathing.
kow [346]

The sentence contains misplaced modifier.

According to the sentence, the one got hit by the car was Gunther. However, putting "I" as the subject of this sentence means that "I" was the one got hit.  ("Having just been hit by a car"  and "rushed over..." were done by the same person - "I")

So that, this sentence should be corrected, the following is an example:

<em>"Gunther had just been hit by a car, I rushed over to see if he was breathing."</em>

If an applicant has extensive training, numerous scholastic accomplishments, a high level of community involvement, and no work
Alexandra [31]
A functional/hybrid resume would be more appropriate in this case. chronological order is usually most helpful when detailing work experience, so a potential employer can see where you worked and for how long, so it isn't as easy to apply chronological order to your community involvement or extensive training. what's more appropriate in this case is to emphasize your skills and accomplishments, which is what a functional resume does.
